クリスティー・ヤマグチ(wow. Yu-Na, I was so excited to see her skate live.)

Tara Kristen Lipinski(she kept the audience captivated the entire four minutes.)

Her jumps are of the highest technical quality, properly started and landed, without any visible effort. She is as light as a feather.
What is even more important for me is the way she uses her arms, her head and her body while skating on deep edges.

>The most notable thing about Kim when she's on -- which is most of the time -- is that she fires her bullets through a silencer.
>Where other skaters' blades dig, scrape and crunch, hers seem to whisper across the ice.
>"It's a return to that quiet skating," said longtime American coach Robin Wagner, who compared Kim to the legendary Janet Lynn.
>"The blade and body and ice are all one."

Philip Hersh
ttp://latimesblogs.latimes.com/olympics_blog/2009/11/belbin-looks-like-an-olympic-medalist-but-we-say-the-winner-is-.html

>The results showed: no man getting votes from all five of us; Yuna Kim of South Korea being unanimous for gold;
>wide difference of opinion on the other women's medals;
>and compelling unpredictability in three of the four disciplines.

>(Our panel was Juliet Macur and Jere Longman of the New York Times; Christine Brennan and Kelly Whiteside of USA Today; and me.
>FYI: Groups of us have done this in the past, and although the predictions have been lost to the mists of history,
>it should be noted Longman was the only one among a previous panel to pick Tara Lipinski as 1998 Olympic champion.)

>WOMEN: Yuna Kim, South Korea, 25 (5-0-0); Rachael Flatt, U.S., 6: (0-2-0); Joannie Rochette, Canada, 4 (0-1-1);
>Mao Asada, Japan, 3 (0-0-3); Miki Ando, Japan, 3 (0-1-0); Akiko Suzuki, Japan, 3 (0-1-0); Julia Sebestyen, >Hungary, 1 (0-0-1).

レイチェル・フラットもヨナを絶賛

>"I am honored to compete against the best in the world," said Flatt of Kim.
>"Unfortunately, she did not have her best skate, and I happened to skate well.
> Everyone has good and bad days...no matter how hard we try to have a good day everyday!
> But it feels fantastic to have skated so well and won the long program!"

>"Personally, I am in complete awe of Yu-Na," said Flatt.
>"She is an incredible skater - especially with her numerous accolades.
> She is very talented and has obviously worked tremendously hard to get to where she is now."

>Flatt acknowledged that she is inspired when she shares ice with Kim.
>"She pushes me to be a better skater.
> On the first practice I ever had with her, I was intimidated, but I've learned that
> I have to get my work done just like everyone else and she just happened to be assigned to that group.
> But she is a fantastic skater, and it is unbelievable how she is able to compete so well under
> immense pressure from her country and supporters. I applaud her for that!"
